We learned that it is very hard to make certain colors how you want them, you have to be very patient and use trial and error. Learning how to make brown is very straight forward and easy, you just mix the complementary colors and you get really good hues for brown!

The artist that I have chose to write about is Vera Van Wolferen. She is a Dutch artist working in the Netherlands. She works with cardboard, wood, and paper constructing scenes that she is inspired by everyday in her surroundings. She uses everyday household objects to build/sculpt magical places. Her work is quite amazing and very cool type of art that we do not see on a regular basis. She comes from a background of fine arts and holds a master's in animation. I really enjoy looking at her work because it is very different than what you would usually see. It has an amazing element of imagination which is what I really like about it, she is a very creative artist and talented one. What draws me into the artwork is the very basic color scheme but detailed work. The colors of the off white and white really set the art apart from lots of other art pieces. Up close and personalComposition- The placement of visual elements or ingredients in a work of art. Value- The element of design that defines the light and dark in art.
